The Loss Of A Brilliant "Artist"

I was reading the obituaries in the Connecticut Post, and happened on the obit for Danny Austin Williams. Danny is the famed Tattoo artist named "Nomad". It appears that he led a full life, and will be remembered by all those he knew, but I will remember him for two pieces of art that he created for me.

He was a brilliant artist, and if you ever visited his shop his work would astound you.

Did You Ever Wonder

Yesterday was a sad day in our family, as we said goodbye to the Matriarch of the family. We had a small service at the Antioch Christian Church. It was a nice service, and Don Bader did a good job (other than missing every family name)presenting a clear image of a woman that we all loved. Lena was fantastic, holding together until the last few lines with a heartfelt nail on the head assessment of Mom's relationship with her. Many of the Antioch family attended, as well as Josh from the Nursing Home, Holly's friends Alisa and Grace, and several other friends. Then we said our final good-byes, headed back to our place with the family to visit, catch up with each others lives, and try to ease the sorrow.

We started with a very good lunch, with a side of great conversation (in our family's way)we went through some of the pictures and things that Mom had at the nursing home, watched a few videos, ate and talked some more. Not our traditional get together at all because the Dominoes never surfaced.

So good-bye for now is all we could say. Someday we would all hope to walk the streets of heaven with this woman that we all loved, and will never forget.

May God Keep You Safe and Warm

This Morning We lost this GREAT WOMAN. Like all of us she was not without her faults.

But you could not have asked for a better Grandmother, Mother or Mother-In-Law.

"Though time may take from us the ones we love it can never take away the memories of the people who touched our lives. These memories will sustain us in our times of need and sorrow. May we all remember the warmth and kindness of a woman who has touched all of our lives. God be with you Ma. Thanks for the memories."

What Fools These Mortals Be

My Son Ryan was part of the all state Thespian Show. As a Techie he was part of the group that built the sets, and keeps the stage ready for the actors to do their job. Remember, without Techies there would be no theater because who would build the sets, light the lights etc... Anyway that is for another post.

The show was GREAT, and the Sets were exceptional. The workmanship they put in to this production was very easy to see. Costumes, Lighting, Sound, Sets, and the acting were all Fabulous.

I was honored to be lucky enough to get a "Sneak Peak" at the their final dress rehearsal.

Here they are in all their glory.
