So I just wondered today how many bad choices I made that effected the ones I love. Recently I made a rash decision that effected friends and family. Jump take it, no I should have held to the plan and waited. Well at least that is what I am telling myself. Why has my planning been so great so far. NO I have made 3 to 1 bad to good decisions. I am over 50 and still have no hope of ever retiring. I will work up till the day I die. I have to there is always somebody I owe, or somebody to pay.
You try and live your life to make a better life for your family and you look and say did I really make it better for them? I do not think so. So I live with that every freaking day of my life. Where did I make the first wrong turn ? Can I trace it all the way back to my decision on high school ? Maybe I should have gone to Tech. Then I would have had a trade. I also would have had a better chance to make a few bucks along the way. Nope let's work retail. 50 - 80 hours a week, nights, weekends, holidays. That will make for a great family life. Sure, you'll be there for your wife and kids. NOT.
Regret, it is a painful reminder that you should have, made a better life for your family, and that you made too many bad decisions due to a poorly thought out plan.
Sure I made some good decisions, marrying my wife, having two great kids together, making sure I got to know my dad before it was too late, and getting back in touch with friends who reminded me of how good we had it once.
Oh well, that is my ramble for now. may you be granted the wisdom to learn quickly and correct those choices that will not help you.

wow it has been forever since I Blogged Here. I come and look at it, but haven't posted in a long time. Must be the lure of FB.
Well, much has happened. We will however focus on the last three months. I made rash decision to accept a position in CT. Should have thought it out a bit longer.
I expected to find the CT of my memory, and vacation visits. NOT. I found that I still have no time for myself, family or friends due to the amount of hours I work. I also realized the cost of CT is not just in the housing. TAXES will kill me. Gas, Power, Food etc.... you are all so much more expensive.

Father's Day.
Well, Obviously you can only have one father
and I miss him every day since he left us (12/20/1994). No he wasn't perfect, but he was doing the best he could. Funny how a day that ended as one of the worst days in his life started out as one of the best, and most memorable for all of us. (07/04/1978) Only my brother Steve will probably understand that date's significance.
However, I would be remiss not to remember the other "Father Figures in my Life. Happy Father's day to all of them.
Of Course I must again show my father "Pete".
Then Of course my Grandfather Edward "Red" Bryers
Then my step father Bill

Of course I could not forget my beloved "Uncle Ernie". As the only living member of this group, I wish him Happy Father's day as well.

God Bless you all, and thank you for all the life lessons you taught me.

Ok So That Day Is here again
Ok, so it is Mother's Day again. So I celebrate by giving my wife (the mother of my children) a card and a mother's day present.
You see, I don't have a mother, mother in law, or Grandmother to celebrate the day with. They have all moved on to the next life. May they all be enjoying the streets of heaven. I miss them all

Happy Birthday
Today, December 24th marks the anniversary of my Father's Legal Birthday
However, my Grandmother
always said he was born on Christmas, but the midwife wrote down 12/24/1927 because that is when she arrived at the house to help deliver him. So I will wish my father Happy Birthday today, and know that it was really Christmas Day when he was born,

A night out with my girls
Holly, Joanne and I went out last night for dinner and a movie. Ryan decided that he want to go so he stayed home and was a stick in the mud.
We headed to Chesterfield and ate dinner at the Red Robin
, and then off to Wehrenberg's Galaxy 14 to see Disney's Christmas Carol IN 3D
We were to see th7:00pm show, but we were early, and the manager allowed us to hit the 6:30 show instead.
The previews were cool in the 3d especially Alice in Wonderland, and Toy Story 3D.
The Movie : Good, great visuals, and true to the story, but short so it didn't dig in deep to the story.
The dinner : Very Good
The Company : Excellent.

Two Trip Year
So, call me crazy, but two months after heading to CT with the family, I returned for a long weekend by myself.
Headed to the BIG E
went and saw the Joseph's,
caught up with a friend that I have known my whole life,
stopped and saw my 50 year old friend Jimmy,
Went to the Beach,

Ate at the Beverly Pizza,
Went To Jone's Pumpkin Patch
and visited with Ruthe, and Ernie.
Had an early Flight back to Missouri on Sunday
It was a blast, and I am still tired a week later. Can't wait for my day off Wednesday so I can take it easy. All I have to do is cut my grass, Barb's grass, and get my oil changed. Oh then I need to catch up on my ironing.
Thanks to all who made my trip so much fun, and to the family in MO for putting up with my crazy trip.
